Dr. Scott Mulrooney’s class
Since we are studying Biotechnology in the High Advanced Program, we have a lot of chances to be taught by many professors in others countries, and it was a great honor for our class to be given many wonderful lectures from Dr. Scott Mulrooney, who is from Michigan State University (MSU), USA. We start the class from September 9th to September 22nd. In his lectures, he offered us a lot of interesting information about microbiology such as Structure and Function of Bacteria, Microbial Growth, Microbial Genomics, and Bacterial and Eukaryotic Viruses, etc. Besides gaining more and more knowledge for our major, we also had a chance to improve our skills in English. When we attend the class for the first time, it was hard for us to understand 100% what the lecturer teach, but we found out that it was improved in the next day, and day by day, we could understand up to 80% of all the information from the lecture. In addition, since we discussed a lot to the lecturer about the lecture, our English speaking skill was get better, and we also understood all the information in the lecture. He did not only give us knowledge, improve our skills, but he also helped us realize that we need to study more and more to get better in our major. In last words, we want to say thanks to him for all the things he did, and we wish that he will always be healthy and never lose his passion in his work.
