Visiting Professor

Being trained in the Advanced Program of Biotechnology, we have multiple opportunities to attend some renowned foreign professors’ lectures. Particularly, from 23^rd to 27^th of September 2019, it was our great honor to partly learn Fundamental Genetics with Professor Wolfgang Schumann from University of Bayreuth, Germany. With his enthusiasm and well-prepared powerpoint slides, he conveyed to us many interesting topics such as Organization of Bacterial Chromosome, Cell Cycle, Recombination, Gene Regulation and so on. He usually encouraged our intellectual curiosity by asking for the reasons of some issues and then hopefully saying that we would be the ones to find out the answers in the near future. He really appreciated when we made questions and discussed with him during break time. Apart from scientific information and critical thinking, we also had chances to enhance our listening as well as speaking skills. We felt eager to discover new things and thoroughly enjoyable in Prof. Wolfgang’s lectures. From the deepest of our heart, we would like to send many thanks to him. We wish him good health as well as happiness to continue sharing his scientific passion and useful knowledge to the next student generations
